"Branco" means white, reflecting the company's origins as a seller of wallpaper. The company believed in bringing artists from all fields to transform people's homes, providing them with a blank space to create. Branco was born inside a traditional wallpaper factory, aiming to attract a younger clientele. The initial branding (which was changed years later as the company grew) featured the mixing of ink on a white canvas. The logotype, using Herb Lubalin's iconic font, communicates a sense of tradition while also being bold and modern.
